Reflexology is the holistic practice of massaging the feet. It is based on the belief that the internal organ system of the body is mapped on the foot, and by gently massaging the reflex points of the foot the body’s own healing systems can be activated. Clients undergoing treatment will be required to seek written permission from their consultant/doctor before treatment begins.

Massage therapy is manual manipulation of soft body tissue to enhance a person’s health and well-being. It can be particularly beneficial for cancer patients as relaxes the body, improves circulation and aids relaxation. In can improve sleep and may reduce stress.

Meditation is a practice of concentrated focus upon a sound, object, visualization, the breath, movement, or attention itself in order to increase awareness of the present moment, reduce stress, promote relaxation, and enhance personal and spiritual growth. This training of the mind helps to promote a sense of calm, strengthen the immune system and promote healing. Meditation classes take place each Tuesday morning and client are invited to attend on a drop in basis.



Our trained counsellors provide one to one , non judgement, confidential guidance to clients in resolving personal or psychological problems. Counselling allows clients explore the feelings, anxieties or difficulties which they may experience on their cancer journey in a safe, secure setting.

Support groups give clients the opportunity to share experiences and
be listened to in a safe secure setting. Our support groups are faciliated by a qualified counsellor.

Mens Group

Our mens support group meeting every second Tuesday afternoon . The group provides all men who have have a cancer diagnosis with the opportunity to meet other men on the same journey. Each member is free to discuss his/her own circumstances in a relaxed, safe environment.


This group every second Wednesday morning and provides support to those bereaved. It helps clients work through their journey of grief and loss.

Young Persons Group

This group is open to young men and women to provide peer support for each other and discuss topics around their cancer journey of particular interest to them.

Classes & workshops


A cancer diagnosis can be a life shattering experience, not only for you but for your family members as well. Our door is always open to drop in, have a cup of tea and chat to one of our nurses.

We can provide you with information on financial help available and provide assistance with filling out documents for medical cards, benefits etc.


This is a fifteen week walking programme run in conjunction with the Irish Cancer Society which encourages clients back to exercise when treatment is complete. Statistics clearly indicate that regular moderate exercise prevents cancer recurrences.


Our allotment gardening project is a great opportunity for clients to meet socially, experience the fresh air and the joy of growing their own fruits/vegetables.


‘A picture speaks a thousand words’. Our art classes, which are held in a relaxed environment allow clients be creative and express themselves through the medium of Art.


We hold nutrition workshops for both clients and the general public a number of times through the year.
