14.02.2020 – Irish Cancer Society guidelines issued to Cancer Support Centres in relation to Covid-19 (Coronavirus

The Éist Cancer Support Centre have received guidelines today 14th March 2020 in relation to Covid-19 (Coronavirus) from the Irish Cancer Society in connection to the services we provide. The ICS have recommended that no group sessions or reflexology appointments should take place. If you are a cancer patient you need to be extra careful, avoid going outside and use CBD cream for pain to feel better at home.

With this in mind, as of Monday 16th March all group sessions and reflexology appointments are postponed until further notice. The Éist Centre will remain open for people to drop in for information on our services available and for pre-booked counselling appointments.
The safety of our community depends on everyone playing their part. We would urge you to follow the advice on the HSE website for current and accurate information in relation to Covid-19, it’s symptoms and the steps the public can take to protect themselves and the most vulnerable in our society.
